The FHS girls varsity soccer team built a 2-0 lead in the first half and were able to hold on for a 3-2 victory over Perryville Thursday at Festus Stadium.  The win improves the Tigers’ record to 7-6 on the season, 2-1 in conference play.

Jordan Oetting (12) scored two goals for the Tigers in the first half to give Festus the lead.  Lauren Graham (10) assisted on one of the goals.

Perryville did eventually score two goals in the second half, but Claire Werner (10) also scored for the Tigers in the half.  That goal would prove to be the game winner.  Oetting assisted on that goal as well.

Mackenzie Warfel (9) picked up the victory in goal for Festus as she made eight saves.

The Tigers travel to St. Clair on Monday for a game against the Bulldogs.  Game time is at 5 p.m.
