JV Volleyball Loses Tough Match to Northwest

The Festus JV volleyball team dropped a match to Northwest on the road Monday.  The Tigers lost 22-25, 18-25.  The team’s record falls to 12-7-2 with one game remaining.

Festus head coach Stephanie Whitehead noted the Northwest offense created problems.  “They run a quick offense, just like their varsity,” she said.  “Since the freshman and JV played at the same time, this altered both of our group’s lineups since we typically share five players.”

Whitehead noted that hitting and digging errors plagued the team in the match, but the Tigers did collect six aces and 14 kills.

The JV team will close out the season tonight with a game at home against Jefferson R-7.  Game time is 5:30 p.m.
