The Festus seventh grade boys basketball team scored 25 first half points to cruise to an easy 35-3 victory over the Crystal City Hornets Monday at home. The win improves the Tigers to 6-1 on the season.
“It was a great, sportsmanlike game to start the second half of the season,” said head coach Chris Partney. “We had not played for over three weeks.”
The Tigers showed little rust and were led by DaMarion Anderson and his 12 points. Owen Hyde, Evan House and Collin Smith had four points each.
Festus will travel to Perryville on Thursday for a 5 p.m. game.
