Riding high on a 20-win campaign in 2019, the #-1 Seeded Festus Tigers Women’s Basketball team placed three standouts among the top ten players in Missouri State District 3.

Senior Jenna Oetting averaged 13ppg and shot 38% from the field. The Tigers’
quarterback and co-captain also dished out a team-leading 107 assists for a
whopping 4.28ppg average. Oetting also hit for 66% from the free throw line and
connected on a team-high 50 three pointers. She also was third on the team in
steals with 62. Oetting finished her career just shy of 1000 points and has been a
staple for the Tigers since her freshman season.

Co-captain Abby Rickermann led the Tigers in scoring with 365 points, hitting just
under 16ppg. Rickermann led the team in steals with 74 and hit 41 from beyond
the arc, shooting 33.3%, and also in free throw percentage with 74% from the
line. The standout junior guard was third on the team in rebounds and assists,
accumulating 85 and 61 respectively. Rickermann earned Conference POY honors
in 2017-18.

Junior center Abby McMillin had a breakout year in 2018-19. Just coming into
her own, the 6’3 McMillin was a huge difference maker for the Tigers, giving the
Black & Gold a major inside presence. McMillin bucketed 312 points, hitting on a
blistering 61.2% of her shots. McMillin was first on the team in rebounds with
177 and was an area leader in blocked shots, finishing the year with an
intimidating 51 rejections.
