State Cross Country Champions to be Honored Feb. 22

The Festus boys cross country team will be honored during halftime of the February 22 boys basketball game against Potosi. The Tigers won the 2016 state cross country championship back on November 5.

Harris & Sexton Qualify for State Wrestling Meet

Justin Harris (12) and Tyler Sexton (12) qualified Saturday for the state wrestling meet to be held in Columbia February 16-18. Boys Varsity Basketball is #6 Seed at District Tournament

The Festus boys varsity basketball team will be the #6 seed for the district tournament to be played at Hillsboro High School February 25-March 3. The Tigers, currently 11-10, will play #3 seed DeSoto on Saturday February 25 at 1:15 p.m.  If Festus wins, the next opponent will be the Hillsboro Hawks who received the #2 seed.

Girls Varsity Basketball Earns #2 Seed for District Tournament

The Festus girls varsity basketball team has been placed as the #2 seed for the district tournament to be played at Hillsboro High School February 25-March 3. Freshman Basketball Can’t Overcome Sluggish First Half; Lose to Hillsboro

The Festus freshman boys basketball team couldn’t overcome a 31-9 halftime deficit and fell to the Hillsboro Hawks 50-33 Wednesday at home. The Tigers only managed four points in the first quarter and trailed 14-4.  Things didn’t go any better in the second quarter as Festus was outscored 17-5. However, the second half was much
