As a combined unit the 9th and 10th grade Tigers take down the visiting Sullivan Eagles. Dalten Yates started off the Tiger scoring by running in for a touchdown. The two point play was converted on a boot by Cole Rickerman. On Sullivan’s next drive Tyler Harris recovered a fumble to give the Tigers the ball back. The Tigers capitalized when Rickerman connected on a pass to Logan Cash for the touchdown. Yates ran in the two point conversion. In the second quarter Carter Cupp recovered a fumble to stall a Sullivan Eagle drive. The Tigers came out strong in the second half and Landen Bradshaw finished the opening drive with a touchdown run. Rickerman broke a tackle and ran his second two point conversion into the end zone. On the pursuing drive Harris recovered his second fumble of the game and Cupp finished the drive with a hard touchdown run. The Tiger defense picked up where it left off when Dominic Stenson picked off the Eagle quarterback and ran the ball down into Sullivan territory. Yates capitalized and ran to the right side of the end zone for his second touchdown. Once again, Rickerman had success on a quarterback keeper and converted the two point try. The Tiger offensive and defensive line controlled the game for the home team. Damarion Anderson, Xander Hurst, Bradshaw and Stinson played well on the back end for the Festus defense. The Tigers will be back in action next Monday during a home contest against the North County Raiders.
