Festus traveled to Bridgeton on Monday night to play the St. Louis Patriots. The Patriots took a 2-0 lead early to see the Tigers take the lead 3-2 in the 5th inning. The Patriots tied the game in the bottom of the 5th and then won in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Festus got a combined effort on the mound from Senior Starter Aidan Irelan and he got relief help from Junior Cameron Ford,. Ireland pitched 3 innings and Ford pitched 3 1/3 . The two hurlers combined for three strikeouts and allowing seven hits. Festus did give up 9 walks in the game.

Offensively, Senior Laine Axtetter had two hits and an rbi. Axtetter and Senior Cole Wagner both tripled in the game. Senior Collin Reando, Sophomore Jackson Gross, Senior Jack Uskiwich, and Junior Cameron Ford rounded out the hits with one each. Ford, Gross, and Junior Trent Ellis picked up stolen bases. Gross and Axtetter collected rbis. Defensively, Festus allowed just one error and catcher Sophomore Tyler Bizzle threw out a runner trying to steal. Festus stranded 8 base runners on base in the game. Festus now must regroup to play at home on Tuesday against Jefferson at 430pm
