The Varsity Tigers went on the road and beat conference rival Perryville by a score of 59-44. Perryville was led by 6 5” talented senior scorer Chase Brown who poured in 23 of the 44 Pirate points. The Tigers were able to contain the other players with a solid defensive effort in the second half allowing only 20 points.
The Tigers got the ball to the basket not relying on the outside shot and it led to 31 free throw attempts. Although they were only able to connect on 17 of the free throws it opened up good opportunities on the offensive end. Senior Savez Thomas led the team with 21 points followed by Kobe Branscomb with 13 and Sophomore Daibrion Barker with 10. The Tigers are now 14-6 and play Jefferson at home on Tuesday.
