Golf Team Finishes Sixth at Districts; Two Qualify for Sectionals

The Festus varsity golf team finished in sixth place at Monday’s district tournament held at Raintree Golf Course in Hillsboro.  The Tigers carded in at 438.  John Burroughs took first place with a 353, and Lutheran South was second at 364. Owen Horsley (12) and Kyle LaRose (12) were the top scorers for the Tigers.

The Festus Tigers, using the depth that has been its biggest weapon all season, won the JCAA Conference championship Wednesday at Ste. Golf Team Takes Fourth Place at Festus Tournament

The Festus varsity golf team continued its strong play, placing fourth at Wednesday’s Festus Tournament.  The 14-team event was held at Crown Point in Farmington. FHS Golf Team Playing Well; Wins Three Straight

The Festus varsity golf team is playing very well as of late.  On Friday, the Tigers defeated St. Vincent 179-181, and then came back on Monday to win two matches, 190-194 over St. Pius, and 190-213 over DeSoto. Against St. Vincent, Owen Horsley (12) was medalist and low scorer for the Tigers, shooting a 41. 

Golf Team Finishes Tied for Third in 16-Team Ste. Genevieve Invitational Field

The Festus varsity golf squad had an excellent showing at the Ste. The Festus varsity golf team split a pair a matches Thursday at Oak Valley golf course in Pevely.  Festus defeated Crystal City 187-217, but fell to Perryville 187.
