FHS Volleyball Visits Nursing Home

The Festus volleyball program recently spent an evening playing bingo and painting fingernails with the residents at Scenic View Nursing Home. The residents enjoyed it so much that the Tigers have been invited to come back to sing Christmas carols with them.

Bria Garmon Named to All-State Volleyball Team

Bria Garmon (10) was recently named to the Missouri Class 3 All-State Team.  The sophomore was one of only four tenth graders named to the team.  She was also the only athlete from Jefferson County on the team.  Perryville and Ste. Bria Garmon Named Conference Volleyball MVP; Three Others Honored

Festus volleyball player Bria Garmon (10) was named the most valuable player of the JCAA Conference today.  She joined three other teammates honored on the all-conference teams. Garmon led the Tigers with 357 kills this season.  Her kill percentage was an outstanding 44.79.   She also added 70 blocks and 369 digs. Emily Werner (12) joined

With the conclusion of the district volleyball tournament in Park Hills on Tuesday, the all-district team has been announced.  Two Festus athletes, Emily Werner (12) and Bria Garmon (12) were selected to the first team. Varsity Volleyball Wins Final Regular Season Game in Three Sets

It took three sets, but the Festus varsity volleyball team defeated Jefferson 22-25, 25-15, 25-19 Tuesday in the season’s last regular season game.  The win improves the Tigers’ season mark to 19-12-2. 7th Grade Volleyball Places 2nd at Conference Tournament

The seventh grade volleyball team finished in second place at Tuesday’s conference tournament played at Windsor Middle School.  The Tigers defeated Hillsboro 25-20, 25-17 in the semifinal game, but dropped a 15-25, 14-25 decision to the Windsor Owls in the championship game. JV Volleyball Ends Season With Two-Set Victory Over Jefferson

The Festus JV volleyball team defeated Jefferson R-7 Tuesday at home in the final match of the season.  The final score was 27-25, 25-17.  The victory gives the Tigers a 13-7-2 record for the year. “This was a great end to our season,” said head coach Stephanie Whitehead.  “We had to fight for this win.
