FMS Boys Track Takes Second at Hillsboro

In a hard fought battle with Jackson Junior High, the Festus middle school boys track team fell 10.5 points short and took second place at Tuesday’s Junior High Hawk Invitational at Hillsboro. “The boys performed very well tonight,” commented coach Tim Krysl after the meet.  “Nobody likes second place, but Jackson is always a challenge. 

Middle School Track Teams Help Out the Community

The FMS track and field team performed community service on Saturday at Mount Zion Cemetery in Festus.  The track team helped remove a fallen tree, raked leaves, and picked up trash and broken limbs.

The Festus boys middle school track team made it outdoors for its first competition of the season.  The Tigers participated in the DeSoto practice meet on Tuesday afternoon.  No team scores were kept.  The following Tigers placed in the top three in the competition: 100 Meter Dash–Dawson Little–1st place–12.57; Landen Bradshaw–2nd place–12.84; Ethan James–3rd place–13.01.
