Basketball Banquet Start Time Moved to Accommodate Baseball

Tomorrow’s boys basketball end-of-the-season banquet has been moved from a start time of 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the make up baseball game that has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 4 p.m. at West City Park.

The Festus JV boys basketball team had little trouble with the Crystal City Hornets on Wednesday.  The Tigers dominated after a bit of a slow start to win the home contest, 57-31.  The win improves the Tigers to 9-7 on the season. The Festus JV boys basketball team outscored Northwest by 12 points in the first quarter Tuesday and never looked back, winning on the road 70-48.  The win moved the Tigers to 8-7 on the season and stopped a two game losing streak. Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Loses to Farmington, 61-44

Despite leading after the first quarter, the Festus junior varsity boys basketball team couldn’t overcome a difficult third quarter, leading to a 61-44 loss to Farmington at home Tuesday night.  The loss drops the team’s record to 7-6 on the season. The Tigers led 9-7 after one quarter, but trailed by five, 24-19 at halftime.
