FHS Girls Track Team Places Second at Conference Meet

The Festus girls varsity track squad compiled 125 points in yesterday’s conference meet hosted by FHS.  That point total was better than all but one conference opponent, Jefferson, as the Tigers took second place in the meet.  Jefferson had 151 points. The Tigers had one individual and one relay team come away with conference champion status.

Middle School Boys Track Team Finishes 2nd at Hillsboro Invitational; Girls 7th

The FMS track teams competed in the Hillsboro Invitational on Tuesday.  The boys team finished second, just behind Jackson.  Jackson compiled 117.50 points, while Festus scored 109.  The girls team finished seventh with 53.16 points.  Jackson won the meet with 99 points. Girls Take Second, Boys First at Potosi Middle School Track Invitational

Both the girls and boys middle school track teams had successful outings at the Potosi Invitational on Thursday.  The girls placed second out of 14 teams, while the boys won the meet that was comprised of 12 teams. The girls collected 80 points which trailed only Potosi which totaled 103.50 points.  Festus had two event

FHS Girls JV Track Defeats Field at Hillsboro Invitational

The Festus girls junior varsity track team eclipsed 20 other schools in winning the Hillsboro Invitational on Wednesday.  The meet was held at Herky High School because of damage to the Hillsboro track. The Festus girls varsity track team collected 64 points Tuesday at the Tiger Town Invitational.  That point total was good for fifth place.  The Cape-Notre Dame Bulldogs won the meet with 83.50 points. The Festus varsity girls track team turned in a very strong performance Friday at the Ste. Genevieve Invitational.  The Tigers placed fourth earning 91.50 points.  DeSoto took the championship with 120 points.
