Golfers Compete at District Tournament

Four Festus High School golfers competed at the district tournament at Sunset Hills Golf Course on Tuesday. Both Kaleb Rhyneer (12) and Kyle LaRose (11) shot a 96 on the day.  Unfortunately, neither was able to make the cut.  Golfers needed to shoot a 93 to advance to sectionals. Weather Moves District Golf Tournament Back One Day

Because of the recent inclement weather, an FHS event has been rescheduled. The district golf tournament scheduled for today, has been rescheduled for tomorrow at the Sunset Hills Golf Course.  Lutheran South is the host school.  

Golf Team Takes Third Place in JCAA Conference Tournament

The Festus Tigers finished in third place at Wednesday’s JCAA Conference Golf Tournament held in Ste. Genevieve.  The Hillsboro Hawks won the tournament, and Crystal City finished second. The Festus JV golf squad defeated seven other teams Tuesday at the Pallo’s Par 3 Golf Tournament. The team, consisting of Kaleb Rhyneer (12), Bradyn Jewell (10), Drew Hudson (11), and Caleb Raye (11), had a combined score of 135.

Two FHS Golfers Compete at Festus Invitational

Because of the school-wide ACT given on Wednesday, the Festus golf team was depleted for the Festus Invitational held at Crowne Pointe in Farmington. Golf Team Finishes Ninth at Farmington Invitational

The FHS golf team took ninth place at Wednesday’s Farmington Invitational.  The team finished with a 409 score.  Cape-Notre Dame won the Invitational with a score of 342. Kyle LaRose (11) was the top finisher for the Tigers.  He shot an 88 which was good for a tie for sixteenth place out of 92 golfers.
