Tennis Cancelled Today

Today’s tennis match at Sunset Park against Windsor has been cancelled because of bad weather.  The match has been rescheduled for May 4.

Tennis Tigers Split a Pair of Home Matches

The Festus tennis squad had a mixed bag of success at Sunset Park the last couple of days.  On Monday, the Tigers downed DeSoto, 7-2, but on Wednesday the Farmington Knights got the best of Festus, 8-1. Tennis Team Drops Third Straight

The Festus tennis team lost to Windsor on Monday, 6-3, which marked the third straight loss for the Tigers.  Festus now stands at 2-4 on the season. The Tigers split with the Owls in singles play, getting victories from Michael Esparza (11) at #1 (8-6), Ryan Esparza (9) at #3 (8-3), and Bradley Berrey (11)

Tennis Tigers Lose to Bishop DuBourg

The Festus varsity tennis team lost to Bishop DuBourg on Thursday, 8-1.  The loss brings the Tigers’ record to 2-3 on the season, and was the second straight loss for the team. The Festus Tigers opened the 2018 tennis season with a 7-2 victory over the Crystal City Hornets Wednesday at Sunset Park. Michael Hawkins Represents Festus High School at State Tennis Tournament

Michael Hawkins represented FHS at the state tennis tournament in Springfield today. Hawkins lost to Rohit Chouhan of MICDS 6-0, 6-0.  At the time of this story being published, Chouhan has not lost one game in his first two matches and has advanced to the tournament semifinals. Michael Hawkins (12) punched his ticket to the state tennis tournament on Monday, winning his match in sectional play at Sikeston.
